"When God Created Daughters"

He took very special care
To find the special treasures
That would make them sweet and fair...

He gave them smiles of Angels,
Then explored the midnight skies
And took a bit of stardust
To make bright and twinkling eyes...

He fashioned them from sugar
And a little bit of spice,
He gave them sunny laughter
And everything that's nice...

He smiled when He made daughters,
Because He knew He had
Created love and happiness
For every "Mom and Dad".

~Daughters~
I would like for you to meet Alyssa, my 9 year old.
Alyssa came to us on February 15, 1994 at 5 months of age. This just happened to be my birthday also. Some present, huh? She was always a happy, smiling baby, and we found so much joy from her. Finally, after all the red tape,
she became legally ours on January 22, 1997, three long years after we got her. But the wait as worth it. She is a wonderful child, and a very special part of our lives. Although I will have to admit, (smile) that raising another child at my age does present quite a challenge! Alyssa is an
energetic child with lots of love to give. She is very proud of all her 'grown-up' sisters and brothers.
You see, she is my 6th child, and all the rest are
grown, with children of their own, except my
youngest son Will.

Now, I want you to meet my next two daughters.
Tracy, in the foreground, and Kim, behind holding  my sweet little granddaughter,
Lindsey.
Tracy is the mother of one of my precious
grandsons, 8 year old Cory. She is an animal
lover, and has always worked with vets. Now,
she is a vet surgery technician with one of the
largest vet clinics in our area. She lives only about 8 miles from me, so we see each other
often.
Kim is Mom to 3 children of her own,
Lindsey now 3 years, Craig 12 years, and Ryan
9 years. Until Lindsey was born, she worked
with her Dad in his office products business.
Now , she has opened her own "Home based daycare business".
There is only eleven and a half months
difference in Tracy and Kims ages. They have
always been close, and since they have gotten
grown and had children, they seem to have
grown even closer. I am lucky to have two
such beautiful, loving daughters.
And now, meet the oldest of my children, Lisa. A beautiful young woman, and it saddens me to say that she is wasting her life on substance abuse.
I and the rest of her family love her very much, and pray that she will overcome this horrible problem, and come back to her family and loved ones.
Lisa, we all love you very much.
